Learning Linux P1.
Well the other day i decided to start learning linux, and learn i shall, i have completely removed vista ultimate from my main harddrive and installed the latest version of ubuntu to it. 8.04 hardy heron. So far i have had some interesting experiences with it. Such as my most recent and least favorite is my 500gb internal sata drive pretending to work but not really working, the sata drive was on an ntfs partition from my windows days and it was acting up in ubuntu on the second install.
After some time i decided to format the darn thing and just forget about the 400+gb of accumulated files it contained (gasp), what happened though is in the #ubuntu channel on irc.freenode i located a very very patient and brilliant man from greece who helped me work through my problems with my drive saving me alot of time and bandwith. Even though i have to go to /mnt/large/ to get to it, i can still access it, instead of not being able to access it at all.
Another annoying issue i have run into is when i am running Warcraft 3: TFT in wine 1.1.4 i cannot listen to music and play it at the same time. annoying as it is i managed to fix the problem before but now i just dont know what to do lol, and the #winehq channel is really helpful for that information at the moment, no clue why lol.

Best book’s in the world
so i have been reading this book series called the twilight series by Stephenie Meyer (http://stepheniemeyer.com/) here is the synopsis:
When seventeen year-old Bella Swan leaves sunny Arizona to live with her father in the small and gloomy Pacific North-West town of Forks she doesn’t expect to like it. After all she has made excuses not to go there enough times over the past few years. If living in Forks, with its constant mist and rain, wasn’t bad enough she will have to make a whole new set of friends and settle into a new school.
Bella soon makes some new friends at school but when she sees a boy called Edward Cullen sitting with his brothers and sisters in the cafeteria she is instantly intrigued. Edward is stunningly attractive, almost inhumanly beautiful, and yet he is an outsider too. Although Edward and his family have lived in Forks for two years they have never really been accepted by the townsfolk.
At first Edward is aloof, sometimes it almost seems like he can’t stand to be in the same room as her, but eventually they strike up an unlikely friendship. Even as Bella falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Edward, she still can’t work out exactly what makes him so different to everyone else.
On a trip to the beach, Bella is told of the local legend about the “cold ones”, a group of blood drinkers who have sworn off hunting humans but are still not welcome on Indian land because vampires are not to be trusted. Realising Edward is vampire changes nothing for Bella, she knows that she still loves him even if he’s not human.
Edward and his whole family are vampires. Edward himself was made a vampire when he was seventeen years-old, although that was at the end of World War I. For Edward his love for Bella is both a delight and a torment. A delight because she is the first person he has loved since he was made a vampire. A torment because although he has sworn off human blood and only hunts animals the craving for human blood never truly leaves him and the very scent of her also stirs his hunger for blood….
anyways between two days i read one 500 page novel, the first book, Twilight, and the second book New Moon which was in PDF format and it was 300 pages in that format but it was not book sized so it would have been more, and i am 18 pages into the 3rd book. now on day 3 even though i havent read all day so i did that on day 2…..

So I’m sitting here watching chitty chitty bang bang in my livin room with my parents and little brother while i think to myself, wtf, a musical… that i like? so many things go through your mind when you think of these things.
a little overview of my day…..
- am - messing around on myspace and downloading a game

- am - working on my website and sms txt messaging someone to see if they are awake.

- am - woken up to be told to watch my brother - then immediately falling asleep

- am - wake up - have cereal _ rice crisp’s
- pm - check my email - install a program and txt people
that’s pretty much my morning and my evening goes as such -
played baseball with my brother and dog, sat and talked on aim with people randomly, played microsoft flight simulator, txt some more people, check my myspace, talk to the crazy neighbor lady, and finally blog this out on the net….
So some good news though im dating somebody now, im not going to say who, if you cant figure it out or arent told directly you wont find out from me, (you might ask why, and i would say i quiet possibly might get in trouble :P) thats on the lighter side of the happenings.
